I have begun to design a family history forum purely for those researching ancestors from Cornwall. I haven't a clue whether I'm allowed to post a link to it here (and didn't want to offend anyone in the process), so I thought I'd ask first... are we able to post links to other forums that are of a very similar type to RootsChat?
kiya :)

Anyone? Please??? :-\

Hiya Kiya (couldn't resist that one!)
I'm not a moderator, but I couldn't possibly see why anyone would object to you posting a link - probably under the Cornwall boards, as its a new resource.
Good luck!

Thanks for replying! I would have just posted the link, but I didn't want to step on any toes!
I guess the lack of response means there's no objections, so I'll post it in the Cornwall section.

Obviously it was a problem since my thread has been removed - would have been nice for a mod or admin to have just replied to this original thread and I never would have posted it.

Hiya Kiya!!!!
When the thread was removed you would have received a notifying email saying who had removed it. You could always PM the person to find out why.

I did that earlier today, but no reply. The whole reason for starting this thread was to avoid posting something "not allowed" by the forum.
I have since found other places to post links to my site.

Hi Kiya,
Sorry your post was missed for 2 days. There are lots and lots of posts around to read I'm afraid and none of us actually work for the site (though it would seem like sometimes eh Paul ;D).
I'm sure you will get a reply from whomever deleted your thread.
