Title: Finding a particular street in 1861 census
Post by: fenifur on Monday 16 January 12 15:11 GMT (UK)
Hello, I'm looking for Melina place, it gives the R/G and folio here: http://yourarchives.nationalarchives.gov.uk/index.php?title=Place:Marylebone_Registration_District,_1861_Census_Street_Index_M-O
However, I can remember how to search with those! Have tried looking through each district, and seem to have found every street surrounding it (inc. 2 different ones for Grove End Road which Melina place comes off of) yet not Melina place itself.
It someone could link it to me or tell me what tp type where it'd be very much appreciated! :)

Hi if I recall their are known problems with certain areas of London in 1861, which includes the Marylebone  area, I may be wrong, and I am certain someone will come along and confirm one way or the other.

Hello, yes some other streets in the district are marked as missing, but this one isn't so I'm hoping it's somewhere! :)

Yay thanks I found the family I was looking for (they've got a consistently mispelled surnam,e so found the address from a will and searched for them that way!) Thanks very much :)
