Hi,
can anyone find this couple and their family for me?
George Jones
Clara-wife-born circa 1857-Marston Mortaine
She might be in Flitwick(where she worked as a servant in 1871) or in Bedford.By 1901 she seems to be in Kempston.
Many thanks,
Trisha :) :) :)

Hi Jan,
my saviour ;)
I suppose this Kate M must be the Kate 'SUISS' from 1881.Where the hell did 'Suiss' come from then? What we geneologists have to put up with.Enumerators who are either hard of hearing or can't spell-lol
Again many.many thanks.You've helped me a lot.
Lots of best wishes,
Trisha :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
ps-hope I can return the favour somehow,someday. :)

George JONES [age 21] m Clara WOODING [age 19] at Wootton, Beds on the 19th Feb 1875. His father was Thomas and her's was William.
The 1891 census for Bedfordshire is more or less complete and on-line at rootsweb freecen.

Hi Cathy,

I've looked closely at SUISS on the 1881, comparing letters with others on the page it is actually LUIES or possibly if the dot over eye is misplaced (his n's look the same as u's so ui and in are indistinguishable bar the dot) LINES. Possibly a miscopied from a badly written JONES ??? :-\ Jan
