Can anyone help with the parents of the above Jane Knill 1827-15 Feb 1909, the 3rd wife of Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin 1812-1852 The marriage was in 1848
Have come across conflicting information. One gives Jane as the adoptive daughter of Sir John Knill, son of Sir Stuart Knill one time Lord Mayor of London. Another source, the daughter of Thomas Knill of Tiptree Hall Herefordshire.
She is also elsewhere given as the Neice of Thomas Knill.

Who does SHE give as her father, on her marriage cert?

As Lizdb says the marriage certificate would be the place to start.
The ONDB has the marriage as 10 August 1848 & her as the youngest daughter of Thomas. FreeBMD puts the marriage in the district of St George Southwark - he was by then RC don't know if Ancestry has any of these online (technically it may be a civil wedding/registrar attended if RC, I think).

they were married 10th Aug 1848 at St George's Catholic Churh by Rev Dr Doyle-noted niece of John Knill Esq of Fresh Wharf London+Walworth House Surrey.

I am quite sure that due to the length of time since you posted your question, you have found out much more about Jane Pugin, nee Knill.
But just in case you haven't - her father was Thomas Knill - born abt 1777, died 22nd June 1833. He died at Tipton Hall, Hereford.
John Knill was her uncle who adopted her when her father died. She was 8yrs old when adopted and she was taken to London to live with John Knill.
