I'm looking about Franciszek TYBUS born in Gdansk (Poland)on May 8th 1922.
He was a polish soldier during world war two. He belonged to 66th pomorsky
infantry division.
He served the Polish Army in Italy. From last info I know that was emigrated in UK in 1947.
Someone can help me?
Many thanks, suanj

I understand that the Polish Consulate used to take a big percentage-based commission fee out of the inheritances due to heirs to unclaimed estates that it located through advertisements.
I may be wrong but I believe this practice still continues.

Hej all,
Try this www.gdansk.ap.gov.pl/english/index.htm
If you send an e-mail to Poland don't be afraid to use English. Someone in the office will understand it.

Thanks for the link Kaja!
Couldn't read it of course but I liked the pictures :P :P :P LOL
That's interesting that you suggest writing in English - I would have thought maybe it would better to find somebody to translate - !

Hej Liverpool Annie,
I don't understand ! Everything is written in English.
Also, if you click on contacts you will find e-mail and snail mail addresses.
If I may. To other people who read this. All pupils in Poland must learn two foreign languages [starting at age six], so It won't take long to find someone who speaks English.
Regards Steve.

Sorry Steve - I was being funny - or at least trying to be :P :P :P
One of my very good friends is Polish and I had asked her if she would help compose a letter - but you say we don't need to do that - and that was interesting to me !! I should know that children in other countries are much more serious about learning other languages than we are!!!!
Suanj also had somebody lined up to help with composing a letter - but it's just knowing the best place to send it - that's the problem
Thanks again for the web site
Regards
Annie
