Title: travelling grocers.
Post by: Brosie on Monday 02 April 12 19:57 BST (UK)
My ancestors, Michael Foley and his wife Catherine are mentioned in the censuses from 1855 till 1901 as being travelling grocer Nairnshire, I was wondering if there would be any record of this in Local papers etc.
                                                           Regards Brosie.

Many thanks for the information, I am certain that is Michael Foley his wife was Catherine Ross and she was born Ireland in 1831. Her Father was Angus Ross and I think Angus was serving as a soldier in Ireland. The Libindx site has a lot of interesting history on it.
                     Thank you again.
