David Buchan Watson a Linen Maerchant given as born in Kerriemuir Angus in c 1852 married my relative Margaret Ann Lea at Whitchurch Shropshire England in 1878.
I am looking for any info on their children who were,Ethel F born c 1880,Catherine M born c 1882,Alfred B born c 1886 and Blanche W born c 1887.All children are given in Census entries as born in Dundee Angus.Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Scotlandspeople website has an Ethel Lea Watson marriage 1905 Monifieth Angus
to Hugh Francis Hamersley

Thanks again ev,I found the death of Alfred Buchan Hamersley after finding a Tree on Ancestry with the Hamersleys on it.
Excellent info again about Catherine Mary Watson.I was beginning to think she may have died pre 1901 as she wasn't with the Watson family in 1901.

Also found a reference online to Alfred Buchan Watson joined the Black Watch 1915 , wounded in left
leg resulting in amputation(born 1884 , died Edinburgh 1924)

hi there my gr grandparents had the name watson - John watson who married mary watson(mains being her maiden name ) they had children - Gladys (who was bprn about 1930s i think ) , stewart , joan , margeret donald and david, as far as im aware its just joan who is still living i couldn give u dates or if they ever married and had children
gladys married james stewart smith and had 3 boys
i couldn tell u any more

Dear Mr Jones: I just saw your post from 2012–eight years ago. If you receive this message and are still interested, Ethel Watson, daughter of David Buchan Watson and Margaret Ann Lea was my great grandmother. She was married to Hugh Francis Hamersley, of a long line of Hugh Hamersleys in England starting with Sir Hugh Hamersley, Lord Mayor of London in 1627 and Knighted the next year. Ethel and Hugh Francis lived in Saskatchewan, Canada for a few years and moved to a very nice house in Victoria BC Canada. I visited that house about 20 years ago. Ethel and Hugh Francis had 6 children: a son Hugh, and five lovely daughters: Cecilia, Elizabeth, Francis (Francie), Ruth and Patricia. My grandmother was Patricia. She moved to Portland OR USA and later to Seattle WA USA. My mother (Her daughter) moved to Los Angeles in the 1960s, where I live now. Let me know if you are interested in learning more.
