Title: Found: Henry HORNCASTLE Bible
Post by: cornish jo on Wednesday 18 April 12 13:20 BST (UK)
I recently found the above at a recycling centre in Southampton, UK.

It is inscribed " Presented to Henry Horncastle by his Father the 23rd May 1843".

I am hoping that the date may be of significance and hope it can pinpoint which Henry Horncastle this is.

The Bible was printed in 1823 by J Smith Printer to Cambridge University.

At some point the Bible was sold by David Niddery, Bookseller & Stationer, High Street, Watford, Hertford, Hertfordshire for 13/6.

Would love to pass to someone with a family connection, and learn more about Henry and his father.
