Title: Cannot clear a script

Please can some kind soul tell me how I can stop a script running. I have tried

clicking "yes" to stop the script. It do so for a few seconds and then reappears.

I just cannot get rid of it.

Have you tried rebooting your computer ?

I have rebooted several times but it still doesn't get rid of the script..

Without information about the script it is impossible to answer your question.

Some scripts are run at start-up and rebooting will simply re-run the script.
Others are run when starting or exiting a program and may require the removal of the program.
Other scripts are run by viruses etc. The list goes on.

As with family history questions the more information giving the more accurate the reply.

Guy, Thanks for your answer.  As I am not sure about finding the information regarding the script. I shall get my son to check it out when he visits.
