This is from an old parish register for
Spott - East Lothian.
Nov 13 Deceased Geo: Catleugh in E______ and was interred at this Kirk.

I think it says something along the lines of Easter Heartsyde ( side) but this isn't coming up with anything on maps. Could it be the name of a farm?

I think you're both right.  I couldn't see it before, but now that it's been pointed out ... ...

Thanks.  Had a look at that map, and zoomed in.  There is something called "Easter Hartside Edge nearby".  I suppose the spelling could easily have changed from Hartsyde to Hartside over the last 350 years.
