Hi would anyone be able to help with a birth look up for William Cunnington Bedford 1839. Father would have been John Cunnington Bedford 1813. Thankyou :)

I have not found him at all other than in the 1851 census and later, I have found birth which may relate only its in Uppingham which came from another researcher, so Im not sure as the census says he was born Bedford and John his father was born Bedford also. Its a very confusing part of my search.

I am new to this ??? so it might take me a bit of time to get it right. I have been searching for a marriage for John Cunnington b:1813 Bedford to Mary Ann Bagley b:1822 Tipton, this has been fruitless and others have exhausted this search too. So I am now trying to find the birth of William Cunnington seen on the 1851 census stating his birth as 1839 Bedford. I have seen a member on here looking for the same and left a post although Im not sure how often they are on here. It may have been that Mary was not his mother as there is a large gap between the first two children. The name is misspelt quite often which causes a lot of ???

Ahh :) Mary Ann Bagley and John Cunnington are the parents of my GG grandfather another John Cunnington b:1856 Birmingham. This is why I was looking for the marriage, which is nowhere to be found. So I am now trying to find William, this is where it gets tricky as I cannot go any further without confusion.

It might be best if we go backwards from John b1856 Birmingham :) Is he the one in 1891 with wife Emma living Holborn?
What information does Johns birth cert give - place of birth -parents etc

I have just spotted your census reference for 1851. It does save us having to look up the details if you could post them in future please. ;)

It would not suprise me if William was son of John Cunnington and someone other than Mary Ann. :-\ Off to look in 1841 ;D

Still no William bn c1839 but - I might be clutching at straws but he has named one of his children Peter, perhaps after his father. :-\

aww I thought it was a long shot too :( I have the christening from Ancestry as this is my only subscription and think it is likely that this is the correct John, with Elizabeth and Peter being the parents. But William sure is elusive, I am going on the 1851 census that says William was born Bedfordshire too. It is a puzzle though :-\

Familysearch (free to search) https://familysearch.org/#start supposedly has most of Bedfordshire on it so is quite good. Having said that I have unsolved mysteries in Keysoe as well ;)
