I am going to spring clean the "Look ups" board by moving all completed posts to a new boards called.....well you guessed it "Lancashire Completed Look ups" ;D
It would help great deal, it when your request has been completed that you end the post with "Look up Completed" then I know that I am safe to move to its new home.
Thanks Sarah :)

Sarah, How do you define completed look ups?, as i'm sure you know one progressive step leads to a wide stride, invariably a completion leads on further to another mystery
I assume that an enquiry for a specific time, name, location, once answered in the affirmitive, is then complete, and move on to the next branch, twig or leaf. Bodger

Hi Bodger,
Yes, it does all depend on the question asked in the first place. I see a lot of posts where someone has a reply and then uses this information to make another post to ask another question. Do we leave two posts... ? ...this then leads to duplications...
I am not always sure what to do but try to keep the posts in order best I can. If a post is ongoing then I am quite happy to leave it.
As always - Any post can be moved to anyboard by any Moderator with no trouble. This includes completed posts.

Hi Sarah, I have in the last day or so put some of my posts 'to bed' for the time being, and as there are several,I am wary of there being too many taking up space, especially as I keep on finding more for the very helpful members to help me with!
I have edited those I am 'resting' so please feel free to shift them to one side .
Sorry to be a nuisance, regards, Tom.

Hi Sarah
How exactly do I notify you that my look up is complete now?
Regards

Hi Barbara Ann,
If you go to your original post on the thread you should see a button "modify" on the right hand side near the top. If you click on that button you can edit the subject of your post by adding the word "completed" at the beginning (or end) of the post.
We will then be able to see that your post is complete and move it to the Completed board.
Hope this helps,
Jean

Hi,
I can't find the topic for Lancashire I completed on Ellen TITTERINGTON.
I received an e-mail to say it had been moved. I wanted to check up on it again.
