Title: Link: Home Guard records Durham 1939 - 1945
Post by: JenB on Wednesday 29 August 12 08:57 BST (UK)
County Durham Home Guard records 1939 - 1945 have been digitised by the National Archives.

There are restrictions on the downloading of records, depending on the date of birth of the person concerned.

is there anybody researching durham home guard?, if so have you come across any entries for East Boldon, Boldon Colliery and West Boldon.

I have a list of people who enlisted but have no confirmation of where they were based, patrolled etc etc

any info would be helpful. I know DRO supposedly have some lists but access for me is difficult

regards

I had a look at the search page for these records today and they very helpfully show the date of birth for each person for free.
