Title: 1851 Census
Post by: Jolyon on Wednesday 29 August 12 16:46 BST (UK)
So far as I'm aware some parishes in Westmorland are missing from the 1851 census records at Ancestry.co.  My interest is Kirkby Thore and Dufton (between Appleby & Penrith) and in particular William and Mary Horn and family, who I think were probably at the former but possibly the latter.

Can anyone tell me:
[1] are some parishes just not available for some reason, or have they just been missed by ancestry?
[2] are my particular interests available elsewhere?

Thanks in anticipation

Sillgen,

Pardon the question but can you confirm third person 'William age 12' is recorded as a son.

Sorry - completely my error.  It should be Jane, daughter, age 12.  Can't think how I got that so wrong.  Will amend it.
