Hi,
Can anybody trace this person in 1851:
Mary Hannah Coatsworth born in Sunderland during the September quarter of 1842 in Sundelrand.
She married Alexander McDonald during the December quarter of 1860, so would only appear with her parents (hopefully) on the 1851 census.

No trace though!!

Can anybody help!

The only one I can see seems to wed after 1861 census.

There is a family tree, it may be yours, that has her born 29th July 1842. Her parents named as Dorothy Coatsworth and William Pattison.
There are also two Sunderland birth registrations. Sep 1842.

She could be under either name, but as yet I have not found her or her mother in 1851.

I too have followed your lead and had a look for both Mary Hannah and Dorothy Coatsworth in 1851 (and 1841 for Dorothy), but still nothing.

Very frustrating, but thanks for your help!

birth circa 1833
death Robinson Lane Sunderland,1871

Dorothy Coatsworth aged 20
Ann Coatsworth aged 15
Elizabeth Coatsworth aged 15
Mary Coatsworth aged 14
the above have been bracketed together on the census page
all born in county

On her marriage certificate
where did she live and who were the witnesess to the marriage

It may be vague but is the same place as the burial Robinsons Lane 1871

Sorry, I do apologise for lack of response! I went away on holiday, came home, and, as I had managed to contact owner of family tree and get some info from her, totally forgot about this thread.

This is my first time using this site, so I'm hoping all people who has wrote here will be informed of my reply to "Where is Mary".

I am directly descended from Mary Hannah COATSWORTH.

I have information from her birth certificate b. 29 July 1842 in Mariners Lane, Mother Dorothy COATSWORTH, Father William PATTISON - Pipemaker.

I have sourced a lot of other info' for her, and I would like to know more as well.

Please contact me if you wish to correspond, and any living descendants.
