I have been searching the Chiddicks line for sometime now if you have any Chiddicks/chitticks etc on your tree please get in touch. Areas are South Ockendon, Barking and South Fambridge.

Thanks

Hi Paul,
You don't yet qualify to use the private message (pm) facility, so I suggest you just post the specific details you are researching.

Hi,

Have RootsChat changed the rules regarding Personal Messages?  I was under the impression one only needed to have made 3 posts in order to be able to use the PM system.

Regards.

I suspect that the moderator has blocked any pms between us.
Google Glos Family History Society and send me a message (member 6789).

Hi KGarrad,
I have received your pm but am still unable to contact paul via the pm system?
Victor

Do you mean you are not able to send Paul a PM or that he has not yet replied to your message(s)?

That's right  :)

that's wrong  :(
If you check your profile you can see if you have you put anybody on "ignore".
The moderators have no reason to do this, so it sounds like a technical problem.

Hi Paul

I see you have added the surname to the Surname Interests Table which is what we recommend.

Apart from that, use the search function to see if there are any posts you haven't seem.

There's not much more to do but wait and hope someone finds your topics via an internet search engine.

Hi,
Basically trying to spread the Chiddicks tree a little wider and also I'm looking in particular for distant relatives still living who can hopefully share memories and pictures.

Good luck 🍀
Have you tried one of the genealogy sites?
I contacted members with the same ancestors and got some fantastic photos emailed to me e.g. My 3x great grandparents' golden wedding party in 1898!

Thanks I've used their site but not the message boards so will give them a try

I didn't use the message boards. I contacted them directly. I clicked on search records, entered the name and dates and looked their trees if they were public! Some already have photos on their trees and you can add them to yours and print them off. Some people reply and some don't. As long as you're polite, always worth a go.
