I am happy to help looking for monument inscriptions at cemeteries in the above district.

Hi Shirley,
I'm not familiar with what towns are in this district. Could you please give a list of a couple of the main towns.
Thank you, AB
-
Dear AB
The list by no mean exhaustive.
Amherst, Amphitheatre, Avoca, Ballarat, Baringhup, Bendigo, Carisbrook, Deep Lead, Dunolly, Eddington, Elphinstone, Fryerstown, Inglewood, Lexton, Maldon, Maryborough, Moliagul, Rheola, St Arnaud, Talbot, Tarnagulla, Waanyaara.
If you google Maps and put in Bendigo Victoria you can get an idea of the towns in the district between St Arnaud - Bendigo and Ballarat.

I have a Friedrich and Friedrika WURFEL buried in the Ballarat cemetery, however I don't know if there is a headstone or not, so don't go looking if you don't have any other reasons to go.
She apparently is buried in this plot (I presume he is as well) Area B, Section 10, Row 1, Grave 10.

Hi Blake
I checked out the cemetery for you but unfortunately I could only find the area where they were buried. There is no monument or other marker.

Ok thanks Shirley. Sorry it was a wasted trip.

Cemetery visits are never wasted. I love reading some of the epitaphs, and there are no crowds.

Hi Blake
I know this is from a long time ago but the family have since put something up on the grave site of Friedrich and Friedrika Wurfels Grave.
