Title: Scottish Radicals 1820
Post by: Tarsha01 on Thursday 11 October 12 21:36 BST (UK)
Does anyone have one of the 19 or so Scottish Radicals in their family line?

If so which one?

This was fascinating history to discover. I can lay claim to Andrew Dawson. He was transported to Austrlia with 19 nineteen after the death sentence being commuted.

Hi Tarsha01

Lots of background to this one. From one of the many links to this, the names included here www.electricscotland.com/history/1820/appendix7.htm

Yes I am 3xgreat granddaughter of James Wright. Scottish Radical 1820. I am searching for this first born son who was 12 months old when James was transported to Australian. So anyone who can help out with info one James Wright (jn) and his mother Frances (nee Farmer) I'd love to hear from you.

None in my tree, but my family were weavers in Paisley and Glasgow at the time, so I wonder what they might have seen!
