Hi

does anyone know how to go about looking for records of old irish drivers licences etc?

would these be in Nat Archives or elsewhere?

motor tax or vehicle registration records could be interesting too couldn't they?

dont know if Licences and Motor Tax records would be available, but I have seen details on number plates, which you can use to work out county of registration and an approximate date.

This material does exist, probably in varying degrees in different counties. As local authorities are responsible for these functions, the material would be with the county or city library /archive or maybe still by the Motor Tax Dept.
