My ancestor William THOMPSON/THOMSON was born circa 1810 in Church Aston and was still living there between 1841 and 1871 according to the census. He married Kate/Kitty/Catherine.
I cannot find a baptism or marriage in Church Aston. Their son's middle name was Hall, possibly Catherine's maiden name ???
Can anybody help please?

Hi and welcome to Rootschat
You mention you have him in 1841 - Is he shown as Wille Thomson aged 35 in 1841 - eldest child Emma aged 9?
If so - the entry immediately above could be his parents - Wille & Elizabeth Thomson if you view the full image
Catherine was 10yrs older than him in 1841/51 and there is a 7yr gap between daughters Emma & Jane. I wonder if Catherine was previously married

Looking at the 1851 entry - daughter Emma aged is now married to David Herry/Henry but I can't see any marriage to check her surname

Found this baptism on familysearch:
Willm THOMSON 24th March 1806, parent Jno & Ann at Church Aston
Do you feel this it too early?
It doesn't fit with CaroleW's theory that his parents could be Wille & Elizabeth ???

I think the surname for the previous household on the 1841 census is JOHNSON.

Hi Hempstead
Thanks very much. No not too early, 1841 census gives his age as 35 so 1806 is spot on.

Hi Carole
Thank you very much for your welcome and for your help.
I'm not sure if the entry above William (Willie) on the 1841 census reads Thompson or Johnson?
Hopefully I can pursue Hempsteads findings of a baptism on Family Search.
Best wishes
