Title: Barbara Moodie b1766?
Post by: JIESY on Wednesday 05 December 12 13:45 GMT (UK)
I'm trying to confirm identity of the parents of Barbara Moodie who married James Corrigle (Corrigall) on 5 Feb 1788 in Walls parish.

Other family trees have her born in 1766; parents as Benjamin Moodie and Henrietta Sinclair, and that Benjamin was the 8th Laird of Melsetter. I am unable to find anything re her birth in Scotlands people. Can anyone confirm if this is correct or not?

Thanks, J

I've seen a post on Orkney Image Library stating that Barbara Moodie was actually a daughter of Abraham Moodie and Crawford Johnstone but I'm unable to find much about this couple to verify if this is correct or not.
