Hi ,
The only Barnett Christie(male) connection to Kincardineshire I can see is Andrew Barnett Christie born 1909 Banchory Devenick Kincardine(Scotlandspeople website)
Wonder if this is connected(born Aberdeen ?)

hi and thanks to everyone who replied to my plea for help!
the family from love lane are indeed mine my g granny was jane christie who was married by the 1901 census. i had wondered about the andrew b christie who was a doctor in england however as the family member who was given barnett as a middle name was born in 1927 i feel the original barnett christie had to have been born prior to 1900 to have been a doctor/surgeon by 1927. i am currently ploughing through all the males listed in scotlands people with the christian name barnett however i imagine it might have been a middle name there too!! thanks for your time especially at christmas :-\

hello again
having gone through my reams of paper records and based on your suggestions i am delighted to say that i have confirmed that andrew barnett christie b 1909 is indeed the family connection i had been searching for. sometimes you need to challenge the information you have been given by older family members and assumptions you have made yourself ie the time scale involved. this of course leads me to wonder where a b christie got his middle name from (will post in aberdeen forum)i am so happy to be able to pass this information on to my dad in his twilight years.many thanks to all for your help :)
