Title: Samuel FAIRHEAD
Post by: stevehaslam on Saturday 29 December 12 15:46 GMT (UK)
Hi
I am looking for the marriage between Samuel Fairhead born / baptised in 1729 and Ann Hall. I think Hall is her surname. I believe they where married between 1760 to 1781 in Norfolk. They may have been married in Bedingham, Bungay area.

I believe Ann was born in 1743.
They has a son James Fairhead born 1781 in Bedingham.

Many thanks

Steve

Hi Steve, Familysearch, parish register for Mundham, has William Fairhead, widdower, marriage to Ann Hall, widow, 12/12/1775. Mundham is not far from Bedingham, so, is it poss that there is a mix up with the christian name, Dave.

Hi

The baptism of James in the Bedingham registers definitely says Samuel and Ann (No surname)
date is 09 Sept 1781.

I could not find a marriage for him at relevant dates in Bedingham, However he appears as a witness at dates before and after the baptism of James.  It looks like he is at the weddings of his brothers, at least the Grooms are Fairheads.

Hi Steve, after your pm, I decided to have another look, still nothing, but I noticed that many of the marriages were " in the presence of" Samuel, William & Richard Fairhead at Bediningham, so I put Fairhead, parish clerks, into google, loads of info about the Fairheads (you may have found it ), still no marriage that I could see. You may be able to tie it in with any info you have, Dave.
