Hi David

I have in the past completed a one-name study of the Drake family so have every BMD from 1842.

An example:

Date: 9th January 1847
Name: Mary DRAKE
Father:: Edward DRAKE
Mother:: Mary Miller Ball
Father's Occupation: Lanoeuvne
Reported by: Mary Miller Ball of Providence Street, St. Helier

What is it you want to know?

The wonderful website called Jerripedia have been working hard to put all the BMDs on line.All baptisms are there going back to very early times .There are some marriages but its worth looking every week as new things are added.There are family trees too which are easy to look at.

Hello! Am very interested in any/all information pertaining to Drake family on Jersey.

I am trying to locate descendants of Thomas, Francis and George Drake who settled in
Jersey during the mid 1660's. They are related to a George Drake, of Topsham/Withycomb Raleigh, Devon, England.

It would be advantageous to make actual contact with living a living Drake there in Jersey who is a descendant. Thanks!

Hopefully, one of the members who has responded to previous queries about the Drake family will be able to send me a message.

I am based California, USA.

Am attempting to make contact with a living descendant of  the Drake Family who migrated from Devon back in the mid 1660's.

The ancestor which most focus is upon is a George Drake who was an explorer/Captain/Master. His offspring were also connected to the sea. He had a son named George Drake. From this son, some of the offspring would migrate/haver connections with Jersey.

There were multiple generations of Drake's on Jersey.

Please contact me - I am new to this venue.
