Title: Address Search
Post by: Kenneal67 on Thursday 10 January 13 20:37 GMT (UK)
Hi All

I am looking for Stonehaven Croft Dunnottar.
My ggg grandfather was living there in the 1841 census along with his family and a host of other people.

Cheers

Ken

The National Library of Scotland map website gives free online access to a huge range of maps of Scotland incuding large-scale 19th century Ordnance Survey maps. That's the best place to look. Try the 6 inches to a mile ones first.

Just wondering if the address is meant to be Stonehaven Cross ?
That is what the FreeCEN transcription has and looking at previous and next addresses gives Shore
and High Street.
This map has a Cross at the end of High Street before the road turns round into The Shore.
