Looking any information on Townlands of Ballintim and Ballinree how many people lived there 1790-1850. I have a marriage of Oliver Archbold to Mariam Murphy 1860 and Catherina Archbold to Richard Hinch 1860. On the Griffiths Valuation 1853 there is a Edward Archbold in Ballintim and a Mary Archbold in Ballinree hoping to match the above names together.

see related topic : Family Living in Dublin 1860-1900 (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,625568.0.html)
You can check the number of households listed in these townlands at the time of Griffith's valuation, which is dated 1853 for this area - see reply #3 in the previous topic
6 households in Ballinree townland and about 15 in Ballintim townland.

Shanew147 thank you for the reply, the people on the other list were very helpful, but now that I am researching in Wexford there is a lack of information out there and nothing online. So I am looking for help.
-
The link is for the reference of others, and added because it includes background information and relevant results from previous previous searches for these people.
As mentioned in the other topic, RC church records for the parish (Camolin) only go back to 1853, so there's not much to go on when it comes to searching for individuals for the 1850s and earlier. The Griffith's details I mentioned show households in the two townlands, and the earlier Tithe records will show many of the agricultural properties and heads of household for slightly earlier dates - about 1823 to 1837 (dates vary by area). These are available on the National Archives website - see :
Tithe Applotment Books (http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/index.jsp)

Mary Archbold (nee Redmond) was my grandmothers great grandmother. Will PM you some details.

Hi Culbaire
Thank's for the information.
I have a little more information Catherline Archbold father was Edward, I have her marriage cert; I would guess at Oliver's father was Edward as well, but the Registrar General say they have no information before 1864. How would I go about looking for a marriage of Edward Archbold around 1830-1840.
Thank's again

Also a Margaret Archbold born Gorey area 1872, Vol 17 p785.

Not sure if it is of use to your research but I was told many years ago that the name Archbold was originally Aspel in south county Wexford. The name Aspel is still used in that part. So if your ancestors came from the south of the county before they went to the northern end check out Aspel. Hope this makes sense.
-
Yes thank you for that I found out the hard way. Been looking for my g-grandmother for 6-7 years till I went sideways and look at Aspel. They she was born 1866 in Ballintim Catherine Aspel born to Oliver Aspel and Maria Murphy. Any reason why the change the surname was change
All the best

Thank you again
What I am tring to do (in a long winded way ) is look at the parish BDM records for Edward Aspell of Annfield Killaderry. To see if he has a family living there, but I can not pin down Annfield nothing comes up when I enter it.
Sorry for the long winded enquire

You need to figure out what RC parish the Civil Parish of Killaderry is in.
https://www.johngrenham.com/places/civil_in_rc.php?churchid=0723&county=&church_name=Philipstown
but Annfield isn't listed under Killaderry, either this is the wrong parish or Annfield is an old name that was lost over time, other townlands in Killaderry in the Applotment book are listed so it may be the latter case, if so this is the correct parish.
http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0723
The Applotment books are often transcribed incorrectly county wise but this one seems to be correct
