My Great Great Grandparents were Patrick Conboy and Anne Reynolds, married in Mohill, Co. Leitrim.
Their Children..........
Anne Conboy oct 28 1841... Did she marry and if she did what was her husbands name?
Mary Conboy jan 21 1844.. Did she marry and if she did what was her husbands name?
Thomas Conboy aug 20 1846 .. Did he marry and if he did what was his wifes name?
Bernard Conboy aug 28 1852.. Did he marry and if he did what was his wifes name?
Catherine Conboy may 20 1855.. Did she marry and if she did what was her husbands name?
and
James Conboy dec 28 1839 . Married to Margaret McHugh. My Great Grandparents. Believed to come from Killanummery, Co. Leitrim and were married in Mohill. Co. Leitrim
I am trying to find information on Anne, Mary, Thomas, Bernard and Catherine. I would also like to find out more about " Anne Reynolds as well as the McHugh Family "
-
Hi Micky!
I was wondering if you had found any new information about the Conboys? I have been really sporadic with my research lately and I was interested in knowing if you had found any new clues?
-
I am afraid I haven't found any new Information on the " Conboy's or the McHugh's" Though I am still looking and Hoping.

Have you found them in the 1901Census.
There is a James and Margaret in Liadananan, age is a bit out but not much
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Leitrim/Mohill/Lisdadanan/1477644/.
I was having a look for the others and came upon this family (age is way off)
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Leitrim/Mohill/Curraun/659587/
So had a look in America for youngest birth and happened on Conboy's with a McHugh staying with them, which was an interesting combination https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MKC9-G1X
Found the family I was looking for transcriber as Conbor https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MSKB-C22
And the parents age is way off again.
Possibly none of this is any use but maybe get the ball rolling.

Hi Sinann, thank you for your message. The family that you found living in Lisdadnan in the 1901 census are my relations. However the others that you mentioned I don't think are related to me.

If you go to PRONI or get the books on Pension Applications which comes in 2 parts you can find the likes of
Pension Applicant's Name : Alice (McHUGH) REYNOLDS County : Leitrim
which gets you the 1851 Census details for Alice's household.

Good thinking Hallmark
It's here as well

....BUT.... a lot of records that were meant to stay in Dublin were sent to PRONI and a lot for Northern Ireland are still in Dublin and contained within the link you posted.
The records in PRONI has a lot of Southern records so if one reads the NAI release notes it suggests that ALL Rep of Ire records are in Dublin so to many it would appear their kin didn't apply!
PRONI has records for some in Cork, Kerry etc etc
-
The record for Alice (McHUGH) REYNOLDS County : Leitrim is in PRONI... for example. It should be in Dublin even according to NAI website.
PRONI and NAI need to swap some records and have the R of I ones in Dublin which is where they are meant to be... and contained within the NAI database.
-
Knew I had it somewhere... there are 8914 records that should technicaly be in PRONI..
RETURNS: Antrim...2085 Armagh...1135 L/derry...1096 Fermanagh...1218
Tyrone...1400 and Down...1980
Total 8914 in the Dublin lot!
I don't have the figure for how many records for Republic of Ireland are in PRONI...
-
Alice is in both so, I've never had a reason to us PRONI I must have a look.
-
Indeed... I found one for my Antrim lot in Dublin records but that record is not at PRONI who don't have them on line.
-
I got the two books by Josephine Masterson: Ireland 1841/1851 Census Abstracts (Republic of Ireland) and Ireland 1841/1851 Census Abstracts (Northern Ireland). using Interlibrary Loan facility.
-
I'm getting annoyed now I just can't find the records on PRONI
-

Well that would explain why I can't find them

I'm really following this thread with a lot of interest since Mickyogue and I think that we are related, but there are stilll many missing pieces and I have had a tough time with researching the Irish branch of the family. Maybe the renewed discussion in this thread will yield some leads.
