What sort of details do you have already ?
Presume you already have this 1901 census entry :
Muspratt household, Henry St. Limerick City (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Limerick/Dock_Limerick_Urban_No__4/Henry_Street/1501741/)
-
the same family at the same location in 1911 : Muspratt household (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Limerick/Limerick_No__4_Urban/Henry_Street/631078/)
Likely Marriage reference :
Name: Frank Muspratt
Registration district: Limerick
Event type: Marriage
Quarter and year: Jan - Mar 1891
Volume: 5 / Page: 279
This cross matches with a Frances Jane Rogers
Possible death for Frank, also in Limerick registration district.
Name: Frank Muspratt
Registration district: Limerick
Event type: Death
Quarter and year: Apr - Jun 1939
Age : 78 (est. year of birth 1861)
Volume: 5 / Page: 217
Two possible births that I see on FreeBMD - both in 1860 in St George Hanover Square district in London. One in the September quarter with the middle name Greville, amd the 2nd in the Dec. quarter with no middle name.

Hi,
I have him on the 1901 and 1911 but its more what he actually did in Limerick. Why did he go there, what did he do etc etc
I have him on an earlier census in London as a apprentice organist but seems a massive leap from that to Limerick in Ireland.

Here's an interesting bit about his time as organist in Limerick (also explains how he met the wife)-

The reason for most people moving from Ireland to England was for work - so suspect Frank was the same only the other way around. A job opportunity with a step up arose in Limerick ...
-
More career details for him and father-in-law:
George Frederick Handel Rogers ... ... 1835 1885
Born 1806. Appointed Vicar Choral, 1861. Resigned, 18S5. Died, 1892.
The Choral Foundation ceased, after the Disestablishment of the Church
of Ireland, in 1871.
Frank Muspratt ... ... ... ... ... 1885
Born in London, i860. Pupil of Frederick Gunton, Organist of Chester
Cathedral. Afterwards Pupil- Assistant to Sir Frederick Bridge at
Westminster Abbey. Organist of St. Mary's, Ealing, 1882; Limerick
Cathedral, 1885.

I think Nellie Muspratt is his 2nd wife as Handel Rodgers was the father of Frances his first wife i think.

Obituary and funeral reports 8/7/1930 of Francis Jane are listed on www.Limerickcity.ie/Library/LocalStudies
Search for Muspratt in Alphabetical Listings under Obituaries.
As the library online obituary list only goes to 1929 at present, you can email Mike Maguire at library and request copies of these.

Hi,
I think we might have a link here with Handel Rogers. My great grandfather was brendan Rogers ( born c 1860) the titular organist at the Pro Cathedral and I think this was either his father or grandfather.
Do you have any more info on him?
Thanks

Dear Mr.Grinch, Shanew, aghadowey, Sio and Supermiffy.
I believe this post maybe 8 years old but I have just happened upon it. I am absolutely blown away! I am Frank Muspratt's great-grandson. His daughter Eileen was my Grandma and I was very close to her as a child - she died when I was 10. She was the most extraordinary lady - as was my Great Aunt Gladys - who died when I was 17.
My Father is Eileen's only son - he also died when I was a child. My Mother as well.
I have always felt very drawn to my Irish roots in Limerick and I'm also the beneficiary of an extraordinary musical legacy. On my Mother's side, I am the great grandson of the world famous concert pianist Adelina De Lara and on my Father's side, the great grandson of the great Professor of Music and organist of Limerick Cathedral - Frank Muspratt. I am so happy to have inherited the musical genes and have created my own musical legacy now; as a singer-songwriter, producer and poet and as a teacher, founder and Principal of the Harmony School.
Thank you for all this amazing info on my family in Limerick and my esteemed great grandfather. Because all my family had died before I was 18, I am keen to know more. I have incredible info + Glady's and Eileen's diaries. I would like to look at all these links on this thread, but some no longer work. If any of you can rectify this I will be most grateful. Meanwhile, I am clearly related to one or two of you - Mr.Grinch and Supermiffy - and I'm keen to link up with my distant relatives - especially regarding the Muspratt's. I'm happy to share all I know. I am also curious to find out how Eileen and Gladys ended up in the South of England (where I come from). My Grandma earned a degree at Cambridge university at a time when that was a much rarer thing. Her and Gladys were also 2 of the founding members of the Cat's Protection League (as an interesting anecdote!)
I include a photo with this message - my credentials so to speak. A plaque I proudly own. Really hope you receive this and are able to re-engage with this post. Best Wishes Jayl De Lara
