Title: FRANKLIN - Wroughton
Post by: farlington on Wednesday 13 March 13 16:21 GMT (UK)
Hi all,
Got a request, I am looking for a marriage between Robert Franklin (b.circa 1804) and Hannah (b. circa 1805)?
I should imagine it is in Wroughton Wilts and between 1820 and 1824.
I dont have Hannahs Surname, but first child I have is born 1824.

So if someone has marriage date and surname it would be most appreciated.

Thanks in Advance . Farlington

Hi Alan, thankyou for the info, I hadnt got them.  Just looked up the cd you mentioned, looks like thats my next investment. In the meantime does it have a baptism for Robert on it. From the 1841 counting back its around 1804

Hi,

I have looked at Wroughton transcripts  but no Robert Franklin shows up. On the other hand
there is a Robert bapt. 1804 in Devizes as shown here;
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/J7DR-K9X

Not sure if this the person your after.

I'm just wondering if the 1st name for Stephen Collier's wife could have been Jessica
mentioned in my last reply.

Alan

Thanks for that, I had come across the Devizes record but at this time I cannot tie him to it.
Re the Jessica/Lessica I think you might be right. Many thanks for your time.

Hi Farlington,
Did you ever find any more on Robert? Like you I've got back as far as him and Hannah but am now stuck. The only baptism I can find is for Devizes but that Robert was deported in 1823. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kimber

Not any further its a brick wall I will go back to at some time. I have been devoting my time to my Irish branch which has been quite time consuming.
