Is there anyone who knew the Carney family or anything of the family, they lived in Mullaghrigny Mohill County Leitram.I know they were still there in the 1960's and they were farmers.I know they had a daughter.Any info however small would be greatly appreciated as i lost touch with them.
many thanks

Hello,
as you will know Rootschat is for finding ancestors rather than people who may still be living. I have removed the name of the daughter because of this.
Have you tried any searches yourself at the last known address etc?

I believe the family i was in touch with died as i wrote and had no reply and i do know they were aged. i just wondered if they had any relations still alive.
If i had the leitram fone book i would of checked.
many thanks

You could try googling Irish white pages or eircom phone book- make sure you choose residential and not business.
If you know their religious denomination, you could search for a local church or write to the address you have and enquire.

Many thanks for the info.

Didn't bother looking for more, or looking at all the threads to even see what replies were made.

This is an old thread. ???
-
Yes but http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=704103.0 isn't! All started by same poster.
-
Hi hallmark,
Yes I am aware of that. I answered some of the earlier posts.
I may be mistaken but I have seen replies by avotier to other threads. I haven't scrutinised though to see if they are all being repeated.
It just seemed odd that you were getting cross at such an old post. I hadn't seen the new thread.

Heywood

Not getting cross but was looking at some Carney g/stones in Leitrim yesterday, in order to see if these details had already been posted it would have meant finding each and every Carney thread... so I didn't bother, hence the question... Why thread after thread after thread?
