Title: Can someone please add colour to the car ? Completed Thankyou

I was wondering if anybody could possible add colour to the car in this newspaper picture. It is of a friend's father (light suit, smoking) and taken in 1952. One of the very few pictures of him or one of his cars (a South American Racing Driver).
The car was red.

Any help much appreciated.

Looks very much like a mid-1950s Allard J2X
