Title: gympie pioneer pre 1900 register lookup

Hi does anyone have access to gympie pioneer pre 1900 register? I would love a lookup please for the following names Alice McAuliffe, daughter of Michael McAuliffe. Joseph Saunders & William Henry Saunders.

Hi Del,

The 1895 Queensland State Electoral Roll has a Michael McAuliffe, 56, miner, Noosa Rd, Gympie.

The 1892 Queensland Post Office Directory has a Michael McAuliffe, a miner at Monkland.

Monkland is near Gympie.

The info you found, makes the Joseph Saunders mentioned there look more likely to be mine :)

The Electoral District of Gympie

Saunders Joseph, River road.
Saunders William, Monkland.

Joseph Saunders wed Alice McAuliffe, 1893, Queensland, they had issue born Gympie,before heading to WA.

My Saunders family went NSW, QLD, WA [ actually UK, NZ,NSW,QLD,WA, my line then back again to NZ, AUS, NZ....phew.

Anyhow my Joseph's brother William Henry married Rosanna Bradford, Gympie 1894, William residing then at Monkland. Their first born 1897 Goongarrie. Joseph mentioned above first born died in 1897 Goongarrie.  Other similarities also.

Joseph is the only sibling with no details

I have the above book but don't think the Joseph SAUNDERS you are looking for is in here.  Alice McAuliffe is mentioned under her fathers info.  Is there anything else I can look up or are you O.K. now......are we ever  O.K.,always looking for info. now matter how small.    bee
