Hello  :)

Mary Phelan m. Sampson Sharpe in 1887 and the marriage was registered in Trinity Without (Roman Catholic). However, when I put in her fathers name to be Denis/Denis into the search box as well..no matches come up. How sure are you of this?

Hope this helps somewhat.

Annie

I am also looking for information on a Mary Anne Phelan, born 28th May 1850 in Waterford

died may 19th 1927 in New Zealand (husband was Robert Alexander)

Parents May have been Sylvester and Annie ( not 100% sure on this)

Would like confirmation on parents and any Siblings

Any assistance would be much appreciated

In the Shearmans 1839 directory of Waterford City I found a Sylvester Phelan, Grocer at 2 High Street. And in the 1821 Census of Waterford city there is a Sylvester Phelan age 27, described as a cousin of William Hearne , Grocer of 43 the Square, this is also the address of Sylvester. In the 1846 Slater directory Sylvester is described as a Grocer, tea dealer, and wine and spirit merchant at 2 High Street.
