Trying to locate any descendants of:
Robert Pat(t)erson b 1878 Wishaw, Lanarkshire d c1961 son of John & Mary Mulligan, who married
Sarah Gunn b 1882 Wishaw, Lanarkshire d c1971 dau of Thomas Gunn & Rose Ann Cullen
Robert & Sarah married 1901 Lanarkshire. They were in Pennsylvania prior to Scarborough, York, Ontario.
They had 6 children, 3 of each sex who may all have been born abroad?
I have only 3 names but no dates:
John b Helvetia, Brady, Clearfield, Pennsylvania d c1994
Thomas
Robert d 1918
Mary d c1992
Nothing for remaining 2 F & 1 M
There's a possible death on fam/search 19/05/1914 York, Ont for a M - no name?
Last address I have seen was:
16 Rock Elm (Rockelm) Rd, Scarborough, York, Ontario from at least 1958 - 1965
Any advance on the above would be great.

UPDATE - Found the 1914 death to be Thomas aged 0 (Possible stillbirth)?
So only the 2 girls on my WANTED list now :-)

I need to find out who Agnes is/was ;D & not sure about James either ??? O.o
Did it mention where both Mary & James were born as that would be relevant?
Going by the names I have to date & naming pattern James is a ??? till I check his siblings names as I can't remember and as they are not my line, I don't have them on my FTM as it is Sarah who is my relative:
John............Robert's father's name
Mary............Robert's mother's name
Thomas........Sarah's father's name
Robert..........Robert's namesake
I found a conection with an ancestry tree yesterday too so maybe a few ??'s will be answered.

The item I found is just a card that must have been filled out prior to travel. This particular card is terrible to read but the children's birth place is not given. I'm sure it is Toronto where the family were residing at the time though I can't make out the street name. It also asks, 'Were you ever in the U.S.' and the answer was yes btwn Oct 1910 & 1912...I think! It's jolly hard to read but I think that part is correct.
Don't know when the U.S. census was taken...says April 1910 so Robt and Sarah might not be on either the U.S. census or the Canada census taken in 1911...that makes it tricky!

Looks like another brother in Pennsylvania.

Father John Patterson. Wishaw. Scotland. Passport Issue date 21 Jan 1921. Resides :- Furnondago, PA, Pennsylvania. Names 2 children :- Mary June 3 rd 1914 and John 19th October 1915.
Sailed from Greenock. Scotland Nov 12 th 1910. Became a citizen in Mahoning County, Youngstown Ohio, May 11 th 1917.
Intends to leave New York 1921 to visit father and mother in Scotland.
Passport has photographs attached but the one of the 2 children is not very good. Identification on passport given by David Patterson.

I should have stipulated more precisely only the descendants of Robert Paterson & Sarah Gunn/Cullen as Sarah is my relative (not direct line) - SORRY :-[
So it's their descendants who are related but I really appreciate all the help just the same & it may even entice other's not sure whether or not they were linked, to get in touch.

This is them! I managed to tweak the images for a better view on Publisher. A few differences but nothing major e.g. Agnes Woodhead & it has James & Mary born Scotland - too many James Pat(t)ersons for the age range so won't waste any more cr on SP for now. I don't think Mary was b Scotland if I'm to go by the F death in 1908 Canada. A closer look & the address appears to be 94 or 74 Gerald St, Toronto, Ontario. Finally, I have Sarah's b & she was b Cambusnethan but no big prob that she's down as Motherwell.

Sarah was a half-sister of my g grandmother Rose Ann Cullen so we share my gg grandmother (your g grandmother) Rose Ann Cullen (mother of Rose Ann & Sarah) ;D

Rose Ann Cullen (mother of my Rose Ann & Sarah) was never married to John McCluskey (various spellings) or Thomas Gunn (fathers of her 6 kids)
She had 2 with John........Rose Ann (my g grandmother) & John (both Cullen)
She had 4 with Thomas.........Thomas, Mary, Agnes & Sarah
I have only researched Sarah's whereabouts to date from the 4 to Thomas.
I had read my g grandmother's obituary & it mentioned her as sister of Mrs Robert Paterson ???
which was more than a surprise to me :o
That was when I went all out to find out about her sibling :P

Rose Ann married Angus MacKinnon & had 11 of a family.
She emigrated to Canada as a widow after my g grandad died in 1918 & her son Joseph (my grandad) died in 1922
Her family emigrated too apart from a son William who lived in England, UK.
You are my half 2nd cousin with 1 remove ;D
The remove is in regard to a generation gap.

I haven't researched Thomas who I last noted in 1898 as informant on my gg grandmother Rose Ann's death cert.
Agnes though, sadly died 16 Dec 1894 aged 11 yrs & her mum (my gg grandmother) Rose Ann was informant :-(
Rose Marie's mother Annie was indeed a daughter of my g grandmother Rose Ann (half sis of Sarah) who married Angus MacKinnon.
I will send you a PM over the weekend with what I have.
