If anyone is going to the National Library of Scotland at some stage would it be possible to look-up a manuscript for me. Reference: GB233/MS, 17961-17997, Title: Milton Printworks, Dunbartonshire, Dates 1790-1861.
I'm interest in the Manuscript 17961 Account book including details of cloth received, wages paid, and materials bought for rebuilding the corn and flour mill.
I want to know if a William Manners appears in the wages paid section. He would have been a child of about 10 years of age. I don't know how long he was working there, however in 1841 he appears in the census as an apprentice carpenter, so he may have worked there for some years.
