hi i have a margeret mcmillan b1845 scotland she moved to walker i have her on the 1861 census in walker newcastle upon tyne
i need someone to check if this is right as its just a shot in the dark i have parents as james mcmillan and mary ann kirby but cannot find a marriage there is also another wife of james named jane?
looking on other family trees they have all different info any help on sorting this out would be great thank you ???

Found this on my travels looking for Margaret.
Margaret McMillan on the 1851 Scotland census living
at Port William, Wigtownshire.
James McMillan born 1824
Mary Ann 1826
Margaret 6 1845 at Mochrum, Wigtonshire
Robert 3 1848
William 1 1850
Seems that Margaret McMillan married a James Arbuckle in 1865 and had three children
He seems to disappear to Canada, then she marries a Thomas Topping and has three
sons by him. I notice on the 1901 census of the Topping family in Walker, at the bottom
of the list of family and borders there is a Joseph K Arbuckle aged 1 so she kept in
touch with the family by the looks of it.

hi thanks so much i have james arbuckles death in newcastle upon tyne in 1875 but thats the right family the toppings in walker and byker iseen that census but when i went onto mary ann it has her maiden name as fletcher not kirby thats where im baffled ..dont take much
joseph kirby arbuckle i think thats margaret lockharts son (nee topping) thats where i started from as he is on other census as joseph kirby arbuckle lockhard ;D
have just found a robert kirby and anne wales there a possibility on mary anne kirbys parents ???
