I have used the site before with great success, now I want to look even further back if possible. I want to find more information about my great, great grandmother's ancestry. She was Alexis Robb born in Premnay Aberdeenshire 1859. It would appear her father and mother were Alexander Robb and Anne Lawson - but I am not entirely sure. Any information on her parentage would be fantastic. Would like to try and go back as far as possible.

I am not directly related to your Robb's but I do have Robb's in my line and have picked up some info along the way of non related Robb's. (As you do)
Alexander Robb died 13th June 1868, Premnay. Parents John Robb and Mary Forbes Joss
Ann Lawson died 31 January 1908, Aberdeenshire. Parents John Lawson and Catherine Anderson
John Robb (father of the above Alexander Robb) parents William Robb and Elizabeth Cobban
Children I have for Alexander and Ann are;
John Robb born 23 May 1839 died 6 May 1920
Beatrice Robb born 28 February 1841 (Same as garstonite)
Ann Christina Robb born 15 March 1843 (Same as garstonite)
Alexander Robb born 25 December 1844
James Robb born 28 July 1846
Catherine Robb 15 Decemebr 1847 (Same as garstonite)
William Lawson Robb 3 October 1849 (Same as garstonite)

Andrew Robb born 28 October 1856 (Compared to garstonite I may have Christening)

My Alexis Robb/Furze was born in Premnay, Aberdeenshire 17.9.1859. She married George Furze and had son Alfred Ewart Furze born 25.4.1901 who was my dads dad.
I have only just started researching my family tree, and was interested in the Scottish connection.

That is the same Alexis. I have the same details but not the details of your Grandfather. I have a family tree on Ancestry.com.au if you let me have your email address I can send it to you. I now live in New Zealand. My Grandad (Alexis's son) was Ernest Lewis Furze born around 1894, not got exact dates. My mother was his daughter. This is so exciting to find another family member. Alexis died in 1950 in Romford, Essex.

Alexis FURZE was also my great great grandmother. I am a decent of George Thomas Furze (1884-1953), he was born in Epping,England and married Elsie Janet SHERIDAN, my great grandmother (1884-1962). They came to Canada with three children in tow, oldest son was Sheridan GEORGE Furze, went by GEORGE FURZE, second son is my grandfather, James Thomas FURZE, and one daughter Elsie Elizabeth Jane FURZE. They had an additional son, Edward Richard FURZE in Toronto, Ontario Canada. My tree is Furze/Brown on Ancestry.ca. If you have any pictures, information to share please share, I would love that. Thank you.

Jay, great to hear from you also. I know some talk from the elders in the FURZE family about some of the Family going to Australia....vague information of course I was just a small child. I was born in 1955 in Toronto. My side of the FURZE family has been a challenge, as each of the three brothers, all had at least two wives and numerous children. My paternal grandmother died at age 32 and left James Thomas Furze with 5 children under 6 years old. He remarried and then had two more children with Dorothy Tunbridge. I'm working feverishly on my tree, hope isn't in good enough shape to share all I have and I hope to get some pictures of my great grandparents, that would certainly make all the hours worth while. Looking forward to looking at your tree. It is difficult to get photos of family. I do have one of my grandfather who would be your grandfathers brother. He was Ernest Furze. Once I have your email address I will send you the photo. I will also see if I am able to upload it on Ancestry.
