Unusual name - there was a death Liverpool - Q3 1972 for someone of the same name born (Bertie Quayle Corlett)  in 1915 - would that be the correct person ?

Yes he died in clatterbridge hospital in 1972 . He was 57 so it will be him, I think lillian was born around 1917. Their first child was born in 1940. May i ask if the name Quayle as a middle name would it be likely that Bertie`s mothers name was Quayle?

Quite possibly, naming patterns sometimes went that way.

Yes it was a topic i have opened some time ago but have reached a dead end. Been on the Lawsonbmd page which has his death listed, but thats as far as I have got. My wife is his grand daughter but is unsure whether he his buried here in England or was taken back to the Isle of Man for burial

Hi there
Are you still looking for any info on Bertie.
I have a vast amount of info on the Corletts from Greeba, being on myself.
Whose daughter is your wife?
Cheers

It may be on Manx BMD as Margaret William Gawne. William could actually be Lillian.
