Please can anyone help with information on Barbara Barnetson born Stroma c 1728
Married to Alexander Kennedy b 1719 Stroma
Son John Kennedy b 1761 married Helen Bremner
Any information on this line would be great
Alexander Kennedy is my 5th great grandfather on my dads side
and I am getting very stuck Help

I had the info on the children born to Barbara and Alexander
I am still trying to find Barbaras parents

There are a fair few Barnetsons in Canisbay on Familysearch I'd check them out first, and Scotlandspeople OPRs to confirm any findings. Remember Scotland could be quite misogynistic back then and often when money was scarce girls were not recorded (until marriage that is). Do you have a full list of the childrens names? It does look like Jacobine could be Barbara's mother's name if she followed custom.
Also have you got the details from the marriage? Is it "of this parish" for both Alex and Barbara, or is any other parish named? Does it list any parent and who are the witnesses? You can get that from Scotlandspeople pay to view site using the marriage details above.
