Hi

Have you used freebmd to determine when he married and to whom?  Freebmd is the first "port of call" for a marriage after 1837

You don't need to put any search dates in - just the name

If he was born 1833 - he would not have married before 1851.

If you know roughly when the first child was born - you can search from a couple of years beforehand

The 1871 and 1881 censuses are available on Family Search unless you have a subscription to one of the other sites

Here's the 1871 entry

Where did you get Austria from??  The 1871 shows his birthplace as Weston Turvill Bucks

However - I think there are 2 Henry & Emma Deerings.  Did you check the 1881 census before posting?  The Henry & Emma Deering who are the parents of Ada were born in Middlesex - not Bucks and Henry was b 1844

The Buckinghamshire Henry & Emma did not have any children

Does Ada's 1891 marriage cert confirm her father was Henry?

1901 shows her birthplace as  London City so the 1881 entry I found is the correct one

I think they could be the 1863 marriage  - see my earlier reply re: ages

1871 census is shown as Dering and shows Ada as 2yrs old (she is 11 in 1881) and elder dtr Emma as 4yrs

Henry is 27 and Emma 28

The 1863 marriage was at Shoreditch St James

Emma's father was James Moore - brass furnisher

Witnesses were James Moore and Jane Hosking Moore
