Title: Moone High Cross / Shaughnessy
Post by: pjendicott on Sunday 07 July 13 13:38 BST (UK)
I have read that part of Moone High Cross was found by Michael Shaughnessy and that other parts were found by his three sons who reconstructed it.  Does anyone know the identity of the three sons?
Also, where would the nearest burial place be to Moone?
Many thanks for any information.

I can't help on the Shaughnessys.  As regards burials, however, if the deceased were RC, the most likely place would be the graveyard adjacent to the Catholic church - Holy Trinity, I believe - in Moone village.
