I am trying to find the parents of my great-grandparents -
William Kemble (middle name may be Francis) he was born about 1900-1918 supposedely in Cardiff, but I am unsure.
Susan May McCarthy was born in 1915 in Cardiff.
They had quite a few children, one being my grandfather Francis Kemble who was born in 1948...
I am having trouble tracing the ancestors of William Kemble and Susan May McCarthy...
MUCH HELP PLEASE!!

There are 3 William Kemble birth registrations in Cardiff in that time frame!
1908, 1909 and 1910.
You really need the marriage certificate, which will give his father's name.

Sorry for the late response. I found out that Susan May McCarthy's parents are named JAMES P MCCARTHY and SUSAN LOVELL. The parents of William Kemble are named MARGARET LYONS AND JAMES KEMBLE. But would appreciate assistance on there ancestors and information if so..

On the 1911 census, there are 47 James McCarthy in Glamorgan.
Of those, 22 are in Cardiff.
Discounting those under 16 and over 40 still leaves 12! :o
So you are going to need to find out his father's name - and that will be on the marriage certificate. ;D
If you have access to the 1911 census (it's free on Ancestry at the moment) you could go through every James McCarthy to dismiss those who are married?

FreeBMD has a Carnation Lovell born in Bridgend in MarQ 1886 - the transcription doesn't look anything like Carnation though ....
