I am interested to know of any particulars of Robert and Annie including names and dates of both their parents and also their generations prior. Thanks.

The marriage certificate should list their fathers' names and occupations.

Yes it does give the fathers' names, but other than that I cannot find the mothers' names or details of other family members, address' etc. or any census - thanks.

You have a location and need to work back from that using any surviving church records.
Robert Caufield was living at Ballymacilcurr and Annie at Gortamney when they married and a Rosanna Caulfield one of the witnesses. In the same church (Tobermore Presbyterian) there is the marriage (1848) of Alexander Porter of Gortamney to Mary Cousley- these are quite possibly Annie's parents. An 1875 marriage for a Margaret E. Porter and 1878 marriage for an Isabella Porter (Annie M. Porter witness) of Gortamney are possibly Annie's sisters.
The Porters at least seem to have had links here (a Samuel Porter witness to a marriage 1886)-

Unfortunately no Will but a few details from PRONI WIll Extracts- "Porter Alexander (senior) of Gortamney county Londonderry farmer died 28 February 1925 Administration Londonderry 28 July to Clark Porter farmer. Effects £854 17s. 10d."

Annie Mary Porter had 11 siblings who reached adulthood as far as I know. The males John, Henry, William, Robert and Samuel came to NZ. Robert returned to Ireland as his wife Charlotte had TB and sadly died there. William never married, Samuel never had any children but adopted his wife's sisters daughter and her family is in NZ, Henry was my gg father and his family is extensive. I have been in contact with John's descendants who also live in NZ. Have put together a simplistic tree over the years but haven't contributed towards it for years as I came across brick walls. It is rather exciting to see a whisp of family in your message. Am looking forward to learning/contributing more.

Give me a week or two and I'll see what I can do. I am sure there are Caulfield relatives in NZ who I have spoken to in the past. Where do you live?

I was reviewing old postings and came across this reply by aghadowey a while back

According to Tobermore Presbyterian Church records, Alexander's father was John Porter. Is that record wrong? I have 3 children born to John Porter and Ann Leacock, these three born Ballymaguigan so Alexander didn't seem to fit in that family as he was born Gortamney.
Can anyone help with this Alexander married to Mary Cousley?
