Hi,
I am looking for some help in trying to piece together a bit of my husband's family story. I have a birth certificate which notes the death of Alexander Symington in County Fermanagh on 30th June 1876. Both his parents came from Ireland and I am surmising that he was visiting or working in Ireland at the time. He had been living in Glasgow with his parents before marrying there. I wanted to confirm the death and the cause as he was a young man probably in his 30's. Depending on what it was, that might help establish why he was over.
Thanks for any help possible.

Lisnaskea would be the registration district which covers quite a few townlands.
You would need to order the death certificate to find the cause of death but it will also list his occupation. See here for details on Irish death certificates (not nearly as informative as Scottish ones)-

Here's the 1877 death mentioned above- the surname is shown as Simington:

One possiblity is that if he met with some sort of accident (drowning for example) and the body wasn't discovered/identified for a while then the certificate would have been issued at the time the death was registered and not when he died.
