If I have a grave number of Basford Cemetery, which is the best place to find out who is in that grave? Do I need to contact the Nottingham Council or would someone have it on CD?
Family name is Johnson and grave number is 4723

Hi Carol,
Thanks so much. The three Caddy's you found in Church cemetery are all rellies and the others I'm possibly yet to discover are rellies! :) Is there a grave number or section location? Would I be correct to assume that you wouldn't know if there is a headstone? I have just had a look on Google maps and Church Cemetery looks like a very peaceful place to be buried.
Can I trouble you for one more lookup. Thomas and Eleanor CADDY had two daughters Mary Ellen CADDY who married WARNER and then HEDLEY and died in 1962 and also Jane CADDY who married FEWKES and died in 1952 both in Nottingham.
Thanks again,
Marg

Hi Marg
No luck with those names I'm afraid.
Sorry :'(

Hi Carol,
Thanks very much for trying those extra names. I've found three out of six people that I'm looking for so I'm rapt. ;D.
I added a question to my earlier post much later on and I not sure if it was before or after you replied as your reply was on page two and I may have missed it earlier (I'm still pretty new at this and I'm not sure if the post times are local - I'm in Oz). Anyway here is the question again just in case....
Is there a grave number or section location for the three graves at the Church Cemetery? And would I be correct to assume that you wouldn't know if there is a headstone?
Thanks for all your help,
Marg

Thank you both Carol and larkspur. Any ideas how I would go about getting a photo of the headstone? Does the council offer such a service?

Hi Marg
If you google Church Cemetery, Nottingham there are a lot of sites that come up.
Maybe you could contact someone via one of those sites. If not, get in touch with the Nottingham Records Office. I'm sure some one there would be able to point you in the right direction.

Thanks Carol. I'll give that a try.
