Hi
I have the marriage record of Charles Ward and Eliza Howes at Long Stratton 18th June 1827.
They were married by License, I have been trawling the records on family search for the this, with no luck. I understand there are indexes to Norfolk and Norwich Archdeaconry bonds and wondered if anyone had access to these as it might help narrow down my search.
The reason why I am looking for the license is to find where Charles was from as I'm having trouble finding his birth record.

There’s nothing for them in the
Norwich Archdeaconry Marriage Licence Bonds 1813-1837 index
nor the
Norfolk Archdeaconry Marriage Licence Bonds 1813-1837 index

Hello Cappy,

Someone on Ancestry has posted an image of the Marriage Bond on their family tree - definitely the right names, date etc.
From the Norwich Consistory Court.
I've had a search for it myself, but so many pages, as you've found out!

If it helps, the Bond gives Charles' parish as Long Stratton St Mary, the same as Eliza Howes - so unfortunately it doesn't help a great deal.
