Hi can any one shine a light on Margaret after 1911 Census, a daughter of Andrew Cullen and Jane nee Butler.

Hi
You haven't given any details of her birthyear - she was 6yrs old in 1911 and shown as Maggie.
Have you checked for a marriage for her from 1921 onwards?

Hi
If Margaret is your grandmother - was she unmarried when she had your mother/father?
Where was she living when the child was born and what year was that
Did she raise the child herself or was it adopted?
If she raised it herself - where did the family live at that time
-
Aha CaroleW
My Mother born in England year ?? 1931 to 1934??
she was Raised in Tullow by her gran Jane Cullen /nee Butler,
before she married my daddy in 1949
Another daughter Marie also born England ??1937??
you note nothing definite here.

Was your mothers birth surname Cullen or Manzie/Mansie? What surname did she marry under
There is no marriage for Margaret in England and no births under the Manzie/Mansie surname with a mothers maiden name of Cullen
-
There are no records of mammy being born, records supposed to have gone up in the Blitz
As for names reared under and married under they vary and in most cases were a down to the scribe entering them.
All you have searched, so have I, same result zilch, not spoken about.
Thanks for trying

records supposed to have gone up in the Blitz
This is not correct - the GRO BMD index was not destroyed in the blitz. All records survive so if she was born in England there would be a birth record. If Margaret married in England - there would be a marriage record
Manzie appears to be a Scottish surname but there is no marriage between a Margaret Cullen and an Anthony Manzie up to 1940 on Scotlands People

Did your mother marry your father as Cullen or as Manzie? What maiden name is shown for her on your birth cert
-
Manzie to both
-
The best I am coming up with is a marriage between a male surname Manzie and a female christian name Margaret in 1928 in Scotland
However - if you use christian name Anthony and surname Cullen it returns no match.
Nothing showing on the Irish BMD index on FS
SP is showing 30 births for surname Manzie between 1930-1940 - freebmd has only 2

Thank you once again CaroleW for your time and trying to help me in my quest.
I have all my mothers people, bar her mother and sister, there is much confusion as to what is real and what is fabricated no matter I will continue looking, also I was not aware of Records BDM not being blitzed, another little white lie that was fed to me, should have paid more attention when I was young but did tend to believe what I was told.
Also told Manzie was Italian another white one.
That's life.
Again my thanks for your help.
Am having a look around Scotland

There are 2 Manzie families on the Irish 1911 census. One too old to have any children post-1911 but the other couple are newly married and living in Dublin (Joseph & Ellen). If they did have a son Anthony - he would have been much younger than Margaret
Your parents 1949 marriage cert should have your grandfathers full name(s) and occupation
Also found this Manzie marriage https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FY6T-QN5 - again - any son would be younger than Margaret

CaroleW.
Thank you.
Yes I have come across them and reached the same assumptions as you.
