Hi All,

I'm looking for information on the time period a photographer existed in New York. Name of Studio is Edsall Studio located then at 246 & 248 West 125th Street in New York. The photograph is an oval shape on heavy rectangular card. The studio name and address is printed in small ornate letters on the back of the card.

From what I can find these characteristics may date from around 1890? Would this be correct?

Hi - looks like you're right. There's a ref. online to photographer Frank Edsall with the address you give being mentioned in articles of 1888 & 1891.
