I am trying to locate the death of my Gr Gr Aunt Maria Lacey. I have found her husbands death in 1937 and she states on the death record that they are living at 24 Grant Street, York, Toronto. He was apparently being buried at Mount Pleasant cemetery, although his name is not listed on the cemetery website.
His death record was wrongly transcribed and names him as Jolen Lacey instead of the correct name John.
Maria was born in about 1857, Bilston, England. She lived for a while in Albert Street Montreal before moving to York, Toronto.
I have also been unable to find the Canadian 1921 census record either .... :/ any help from anyone would be welcomed!!

that's very helpful thankyou :D
-
Ontario death registrations are only publicly available up to about 1939 with a new year added annually.
You might consider contacting Mount Pleasant Cemetery directly to a) inquire about John and b) to inquire whether Maria is buried there also and hopefully be given a date of death if she is. You have a death and burial date for John so that should be helpful.

Julia took on quite a lot when she married the widower George and then being widowed herself so soon and with a young one born of her own marriage. She married again in Montreal 04 Mar 1921 to a Samuel Robinson, batchelor.
I haven't been able to find any of the children or Julia and Samuel in the 1921 census. The marriage took place prior to the census being taken. Given that it appears Samuel and Norman (assuming they are George's sons) have been found in the voters lists, they must be somewhere and hopefully the others as well. Wonder if they are with the elusive John?

This is weird. Ive found a marriage for an Amelia Harriet Mallaire to a Leyland Max Gott as a second Marriage in 1960 but her parents names are wrong. She has Named her father as Jack Spicer Mother Emma Butler ...mine would be Frederick Russell and her Mother was Harriet Evans. Cant find the marriage of Amelia and Fred ?

Yes, just refreshing my memory when that marriage was mentioned on a USA thread (thought it sounded familiar) and the mystery of a Florence Carruthers who was transcribed as a foster sister when there was no mention of a foster sister on the image ::)
