They are one of the variant names that I am researching.

Hi Colin
It seems Judy hasn't been on Rootschat for a couple of years now & she might not be notified of your reply - hence no response from her.
I'm interested in your study on behalf of a friend, whose tree I helped with. I will pass along the URL to her.
Kind regards, Arranroots :)

Thanks Arranroots I had missed that Judy posted so long ago.
I look forward to hearing from your friend.

I have Lefebvre roots... Dont know if it is the same surname as it was changed constantly, and the surname ended up being La Favor.
The family lived in Quebec for many generations and the "rumor" is that they came from southern France.

The name does change over the years particularly outside of France. Lefebvre is a common variant in Canada and one that I am researching.

I have a Sidney Bertram in my records marrying an Amelia J Kenward in 1935 in Surrey, born in Edmonton and dying in Hastings. I have his father as George and his mother as Clara. I have a bit more about him including that he used Bertram rather than Sidney as his name.
Contact off line if you want any more.

I have Sidney Bertram Lefevre marrying Annie Hettie Spooner (a distant cousin of mine) on 15 Sept 1923 at St. Bartholomew, Horley, Surrey. Annie was born in Ferozepore, India abt. 1903 (her father was in the army), she died in Horley 6 Dec 1932 and is buried at St. Bartholomew. Amelia must have been his second wife.

Thanks for the info, I will add it to my study. I knew that Sidney had been married before as on his marriage to Amelia he is recorded as a widower. Now I know who his first wife was, thanks for that.
